Designing With Intention

When I start designing a brand, I always begin with fonts. They’re my foundation. Over the years, I’ve built a toolkit of tried-and-true favorites, typefaces that bring me balance and alignment. They create the structure I need to set the tone for everything that follows.

But fonts are only the beginning. From that foundation, I layer in the personality, the details, stories, and subtleties that transform a design into a living, breathing brand. This is where each project takes on its own unique rhythm.

Why My Process Starts With You
Before I  design, I start with a conversation. Every client begins with an intake call, and it’s not your standard list of business questions. I ask personal questions. I want to know you as an individual, what inspires you, what drives you, what values anchor your life.

“I believe every logo should reflect the person behind it, not just the company on the surface.” Your logo is your signature in the world, and that requires trust, transparency, and a process that requires vulnerbility, patience and time.

 From Foundation to Personality
Once I have that personal insight, the creative process begins:

Foundation: Selecting fonts that create balance and alignment,  a visual grounding.
Refinement: Aligning typography, color, and marks with your story until it feels authentic.
Personality: Layering in the elements that bring the brand to life, the small details that say, this is you.

Every stage is intentional. Every decision is guided by both design principles and the personality of the client I’m working with.

Branding as a Relationship
Branding, for me, is never transactional. It’s not about creating something trendy or pretty for the moment. It’s about building a brand that feels like it belongs to you, to your story, and to the future you’re creating.

That’s why I approach branding as a trusted and transparent relationship. It’s personal. It’s collaborative. And it’s always rooted in story.

At Kole Creations, design isn’t just about visuals, it’s about creating a brand that reflects who you are, not just what you do.

A brand should be more than seen. It should be felt.
And when it’s aligned with who you are at the deepest level, it becomes unstoppable.
